Upgrade Policy

There are several ways to get upgrades for products purchased from Warm Silence Software Ltd. Some major upgrades may specifically be chargable - these will be clearly indicated elsewhere on this website. Where no particular indication is made the charges below apply. Please pick the upgrade scheme from the options described below that suits you best.

Scheme 1: Upgrades delivered by snail mail (no credit cards).

For each product that needs to be upgraded, you need to send us by snail mail an order that includes:

The version number of the product you have.
This can usually be found in the info box of the application. [For a few products that do not have an application, the version number and dates of the modules will be enough.]
Your serial number.
This will be in the info box of the application, and/or be written on the original disc.
The address to which the software is to be sent.

We will send you by email the latest version of each piece of software, as a zip file. This may be MIME or UUencoded. If you have a preference please state this.

Scheme 3: Upgrades paid for by credit cards.

We cannot accept credit cards, but so many people want to upgrade this way, that we have worked with CJE Micros to put together a scheme whereby they will handle the credit card transactions for us. There is more work for more people involved in this scheme, so it costs more.

Firstly, contact us to check on version/serial numbers etc; CJE will not be able to answer these questions, and you'll just be wasting their time.

Once you are sure you know what you want, put together an order as below:

The version number of the product you have.
This can usually be found in the info box of the application. [For a few products that do not have an application, the version number and dates of the modules will be enough.]
Your serial number.
This will be in the info box of the application, and/or be written on the original disc.
The delivery address.
Either snail mail or email as appropriate.

You then need to get this order to CJE Micros. You can phone it through on 01903 523222, fax it on 01903 523679 or email it to sales@cjemicros.co.uk. Please clearly mark your order as being an upgrade order!

If you choose to email your credit card details to CJE, be aware that this is not secure. Some people suggest that sending the card details as a drawfile converted to a path or scanned and compressed makes it secure. This is up to you, but basically neither we nor CJE will accept any responsbility for its safety.

CJE will then debit your card with 5UKP+VAT = 5.88 for each upgrade. There is no discount for multiple upgrades. Once the transaction has gone through, CJE will forward the order to us.

We will then process the order and send your upgrades. This will typically happen within about 7 days of us receiving your order (often much quicker!), but (dependent on our workload) may take longer.

If you wish to chase an order, please contact us not CJE.

We will send you by email the latest version of each piece of software, as a zip file. This may be MIME or UUencoded. If you have a preference please state this.
